Course Description:
In Integrated Physics and Chemistry, students conduct laboratory and field investigations, use scientific methods during investigation, and make informed decisions using critical thinking and scientific problem solving. This course integrates the disciplines of physics and chemistry in the following topics: force, motion, energy, and matter. Texas law requires 40% field and laboratory experience during the course.
Supplies:
Parents please make sure that your student is prepared by the first week of school if possible. We start right away and without correct supplies your student may fall behind. THANKS!

Pens and pencils
4 different colored highlighters
Supplies check 1st week of school
GRADING PLAN
1. Exams 30%
2. Labs/Major Grades/Projects 25%
3. Quizzes/Notebook 20%
4. Daily work – classwork, other 25%
Students are responsible for retrieving any missed work the day they return from an absence. See the “Absent Policy” on the side of this page and posted around the room. If a student is absent more than one day, see me to work out a make-up work schedule. Students must make sure they get and complete all work on the agenda for the day they missed. Late work (missing work not resulting from an excused absence) will receive 10% off the first day late, 20% off the 2nd day late, 30% off the 3rd day late, and 50% off from the 4th day on. Work that is late more than 3 days will receive a maximum grade of 50.
